Fashion Designing

If you want to be a clothing designer here's something that might be fun: The Project runway fashion design challenge sketch set. I know it might seem kind of young for some of you, but it comes with pages that already have a model on them, so you just add the clothes. And it comes with a booklet to give you ideas [I copy the designs out of there allot!] It's very fun and can be played as a timed game with friends [see the instruction manual] I will hopefully post some pictures of my designs on here soon!

Backwards Tie-dying

My birthday was on July 25th [i am now 13!] so i had a Birthday party on the 31st. My mom had this awesome idea: Backwards Tie-dying! yes, i know people have done it before she didn't actually come up with the idea. Well, what you do is take a colored shirt [darker is better, we did yellow and a light blue, they didn't work] and then roll it up like you would a normal tie-dye shirt than than pour bleach on it, which makes that part faded, or white. Now, the recipe we had said 4 parts water 1 part bleach, but it didn't show up at all so we just kept adding more bleach, but it was probably just the shirts we had so try 4 parts water 1 part bleack first! I hope you enjoy doing this craft, it is so fun and the shirts look great!! Oh, and when you are doing this make sure you have clothes that you don't mind if they get bleach on them, because you probably will. :)
